Having one of the world's best integrated train, subway and bus systems; you can easily reach famous clubs, restaurants, temples, shrines, or other landmarks without ever having to get into a car. If you can think of it, you can probably find it in Tokyo! There is always an event or festival going on somewhere in Tokyo and you will never run out of things to do or places to go!

On campus, Temple has several gyms that are free for students, with both cardio and strength training equipment. The gym is a great place to go when youre stressed with finals or need a study break. One of the gyms even has fitness classes, such as Zumba, yoga, Pilates, and spinning. There is also The Reel, Temples movie theater, which plays two-dollar movies every month, and can be a fun, relaxing night with friends. If you want to get involved, there are hundreds of student groups where you can try something new and meet students around a common interest. If you are into sports, Temple usually has good football and basketball teams, depending on the year, but regardless of how we do, the games are a lot of fun, not to mention free for students. For the partiers, there are parties off campus all the time. Personally, Im not into the partying, and I still find plenty of fun things to do, but if you want it to be a party school, it can be. There is a lot going on in Philadelphia, so be sure to get off campus and check it out, because that is where the most exciting things happen. The advantage of living in the city is that you are a short subway ride away from all kinds of museums, theaters, parks, and events. Take advantage of being a student- there are discounts to most museums and shows around the city. There is tons of shopping, a wide range of restaurants, and plenty of historical and cultural sites. Philly has a little of something for everyone!
