During Open House and many other times throughout the year, there are all kinds of activities and people will consistently try to hand out flyers for new events. In the fall, it's football season, so tailgates or attending the football games are some fun things to do. Texas A&M has many sports teams, including some untypical ones such as Quidditch and the campus has a Recreation Center. The campus also holds meetings for a lot of clubs, including the Philosophy Club, and often hosts live bands or poetry/spoken word outside by the MSC. The best way to find out what's new or fun to do on campus is to got to the MSC open house or search for something on the Student Activities website.

There are plenty of stores around College Station to visit, but the college itself is like it's own town. You could never leave!

Honestly, I studied a lot. People always mention going to Harry's for country western dancing, but I never actually made it out there, personally. College Station is (comparatively) small, but with dorm events, group events (we've got over eight-hundred on-campus groups), oh yeah, and academics, it seems doubtful that you'll miss the absence of a night life.

Northgate is your destination, whether you're conservative on your Thursday nights or wanting to party hard. The mall is lackluster but the movie theaters will cost you only $4--a steal! If you're into something a bit more diverse, hit up Downtown Bryan for concerts, First Friday, or slam poetry at the Revolution Cafe. If all else fails, Austin and Houston aren't too far.

A lot of people usually go out to Northgate on the weekends. There are a few bars and nightclubs and restaurants, but I usually like hanging out in the dorm with my buddies. It's nice to go out to eat every once and a while.

There's everything, sports, clubs, etc. But if you're looking for fun at night, there aren't a lot of places to go dancing or clubbing. There's lots of bars, but if that's not your thing there are fun things to do oncampus.
