Though TAMUK is primarily an engineering school (one of the top in South Texas,) its other programs are outstanding as well. Many of the professors have written books, studied abroad, or have been teaching their subjects for many years. I've yet to find a teacher who was not absolutely passionate about what they were teaching. Because the classes are usually smaller, you get the one-on-one attention you need to learn. There are also many tutoring sessions, many of the free, for extra help.

Texas A & M University-Kingsville is a university for the student that perfers the rural country living versus the city life. Kingsville is a small town close to the city of Corpus Christi Texas, which is about 45 minutes away so if you are looking for the nightlife Kingsville isn't the place to be but it is a quite and small university.

Most of the proffessors do not care about you and are difficult to understand because of their thick accents. The professors that do care grade too harshly for the most part. Only attend this school if you want a fairly decent gpa with minimal effort

This school allows students to expand into their field, with great help from faculty and administration. There are many professors that care, as long as the student is willing to work hard to reach fullest potential. The campus is also great.
