    First, know your goals for your future. A student should know where they want to be in five years. Second, talk to someone in that field, find out whats that field is all about. Third, do your research. Make sure that whatever is chosen as a career will still be in demand after graduating. Lastly, find out what the going rate of pay is for a field. A student is going to graduate college with debt and needs to be able to support themselves and their family.

    TSTC is ran a little different than other colleges. Seek advisement as needed, however, if you know what you want to do speak your opinion. This is your investment and in my case the advisors were not always right.
