It's an extremely safe area; plus a gated campus.
Clubs and Activities
there's just soccer and the occasional extra sporting event/fitness classes offered. Only 10 or so clubs and not much to get involved in. But they try to cater to your needs.
Great for these types of students
-Wanting to learn Italian -Don't get homesick easily -Not looking for Academic Excellence -Wanting a small community/environment
Bang for the buck
It's not as expensive as some universities in the US, but living in Europe is automatically a big expense in comparison to the states.
What to do for fun
Nightlife is pretty vibrant, plus lots of history to look at during the day. Weekend trips are the best!
Food and Dining
No meal plans, so it's all outside food which is always awesome but 4-stars just because eating in Rome isn't cheap.
Not exactly applicable... the student housing apartments are all separated and extremely overpriced. I recommend finding your own apartment in a cool part of town with people you enjoy.
I came from a very difficult IB high school and find the classes here extremely easy and often redundant. It leaves a lot of free time to explore and party.
Tips for prospective students
If you know anyone from the get-go, I would get an apartment with them: student housing is WAY overpriced and not up to par. Also;ale sure to get involved in events in the city and see all you can see both in Italy and the rest of Europe. It's a great school for studying abroad but I can't see staying much longer as the campus doesn't have very much to offer.
In three sentences
The community is indeed very international, from the staff to faculty to student body. However; the campus is extremely small and classes can feel trivial at times--definitely not as challenging as expected. Rome is a great city but public transport can be an issue and the student housing here isn't usually in ideal locations.
