    Be prepared to fail. You will most likely have a poor grade on one of your first exams, and you might end up having to drop or re-take a class. I don't mean to scare you with this, but it is a great possibility, and this is not at all to say that you can not get back from these downfalls, because there are a lot of resources for you if you need help. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Another tip is to get involved, I have become good friends with so many different people on campus just through joining a few clubs, it really makes your experience so much better if you can go through the hallways and always see someone to wave hello to.
