Around Town

Since I am a commuter and work part-time off campus, I generally do not participate in the multitude of activities available at TCNJ. There are weekly movie nights, casino nights, trips to the Columbus Flea Market and such, plays, etc. There are a ton of things to do, and it is done within a safe environment.

Join clubs, meet new people, party

Since the area isn't great, most activities outside of academics takes place either in the dorms or on the off-campus housing. This definitely works for most of the kids here but if that doesn't sound good to you then this is definitely not the school for you!

Visit Princeton, local bars, Quakerbridge mall.

There are pool tables and such in the student center and multiple student activities and events that go on through out the year.

There are plenty events in the Student Center to attend each day at the college. There are also weekly concerts and comedy shows, along with plenty of parties thrown by fraternities and sororities.

Have one of your friends get their car for a week since freshman may find tcnj pretty quiet on the weekends. That said, CUB does a great job of providing acivities on the weekend.

There are buses that can take students to the train, the mall, the theatre, or other shopping areas. On campus there are tons of student activities and events going on all the time.

Sports teams (club, intramural, varisity), greek organization events, homecoming, going on trips the school offers, shows/plays.

Usually the committee puts up events in the weekends. The loop bus provides free transportation to certain areas (such as the Quakerbridge Mall) but most people just leave during the weekend. It gets pretty isolated here.
