    The Evergreen State College for a local student cost a little more than attending a community college in Washington State. If you are looking to study abroad TESC has a great deal for student in that you only pay the study abroad school but you earn your credits through Evergreen.

    As a state school, its VERY worth the price tag. But if your going to pay the out-of-state price tag but really want in, you better be ready to have a job and find out ways to pay for the almost-in-state-private-school price tag.

    I've learned here that not value and price do not always coalesce. The education, people, concerts, activities....none of it is about money. Even housing is pretty good. A lot of private schools can't even compare to what Evergreen offers.
