    Please don't come to this school. This school is like high school. And if the 50 percent transfer rate does not explain enough, you will come here, be disappointed, and contribute to the high transfer rate.

    Come prepared to succeed and enjoy doing it. Academically the school is designed in such a way to make work easy: through short commuting which makes it easy to get to classes; small classrooms which make teacher interactions more efficient; and many non academic activities which help you relax such as sports (lacrosse, soccer, etc.), a wide fraternities and sororities, and many good clubs nearby for weekend fun.

    If you show professors how much you care about learning, such as visiting office hours and asking questions, you will benefit immensely. Also, get involved with as many clubs, volunteer organizations, and activities as you can for a well rounded experience and lots of friends!

    Make sure you realize this will not be your typical college environment. It is not in a little college town, but rather downtown Tampa (some of which is a bit shady). There is little to no school spirit despite the Division II athletics being consistently successful. With that being said, many people find that the beautiful campus, strong faculty and beautiful dorms make up for what it lacks.
