There are plenty of restaurants to eat around the medical center. If you walk down Fannin Street, you will see Chipotle, Subway, Salata, etc. And there are many dining places at the Commons. And if you want to venture out a little further, Rice Village and Montrose have plenty of restaurants as well. Houston is huge, so you will have no problem finding places to eat at all hours of the day.

Although there is no mess facility, but there is no limit to the availability of food options here in Houston. Grocery stores are nearby and there are so many international grocery stores available too. Houston is a city of foodies, You will find best food from almost all the cuisines here in Houston. But need to keep a check on what you eat, not to forget Houston is the biggest/Fattest city of USA too.

In the middle of the Texas Medical Center there are plenty of hospitals within walking distance that have amazing cafeterias available for lunch.

The cafeteria food is good but pricey. Most students chose to bring their own lunch. You are given an hour for lunch break.
