All professors are approachable. Everyone greets you with a smile and academic advisors welcome you and tell you exactly what you need to do to get things done. There are learning centers with available tutors throughout the day if ever you need help with any of your classes. There is online help as well. It actually becomes easy to study so it no longer feels like a chore. Study groups can be found everywhere and welcome newcomers.

    1. Beautiful Campus, not to big, not small either, Buildings are easily identifiable which makes getting to class much easier. Information kiosks and site maps available on parking entrances to facilitate students on those first days of class. 2. Knowledgeable professors, great staff, an outstanding learning environment. Currently the Campus is under remodeling, primarily the library, but with 4 floors of library space noises are kept to a minimum. 3. Tuition is reasonable compared to other universities, Parking is plenty full and student activities are always posted almost everywhere for students to find time for recreational activities.

I think UTPA is a great school for all that want to try and get an education here. It offers a pretty diverse and interesting amount of choices from medical, computer, to psychology and math. It has it's ups and downs but I think that mostly, the college is worth going to since they are always trying to help you out and the professors really know how to teach you the subject. You don't just walk away not learning anything, you walk away, having bettered yourself and more prepared for the outside world.

Very organized and they have a high importance in their student's education. They offer a great nursing program as well as the other career options. I do not ever regret attending UTPA for my core classes.

The University of Texas-Pan American is a great school and brings much pride to the Rio Grande Valley. UTPA offers many great organizations that the students can be a part of and the staff and students are very welcoming. This is my 1st year there after my transfer and has been great. It will begin offering new opportunities soon.

Great Location : Edinburg is not too big nor too small, it's the perfect size to have an enjoyable college experience and at the same time it doesn't distract you from your studies. Also, the beach is like 1 hour away (yay Spring break!) Balanced Student to Professor Ratio: Since it is a small school, it makes the learning environment much more intimate. You can rest assure your professor will be available for a meeting and would quickly reply to that urgent-do-I-need- to-know-this-for-the-test-tomorrow. Very Diverse: The campus has people from all over the country and also the world! You'll meet amazing people from different backgrounds and cultures. Great place to broaden your horizon

It is very inexpensive with lots of opportunity available for students looking for a great start. It serves the local community very well, sponsoring events, etc. I have enjoyed my time here quite a lot and is recommended especially if you can tolerate the area's 9 month long summer (March - October).
