All professors are approachable. Everyone greets you with a smile and academic advisors welcome you and tell you exactly what you need to do to get things done. There are learning centers with available tutors throughout the day if ever you need help with any of your classes. There is online help as well. It actually becomes easy to study so it no longer feels like a chore. Study groups can be found everywhere and welcome newcomers.

So far, I give this university an A because it is not too big and not too small for me. The advisers are brief and frank, but friendly at the same time. The instructors teach at a comfortable pace and offer additional help if i ever need it.

The location of this university is perfect for a native from the Rio Grande Valley and the tuition is inexpensive. The professors I've had have been good and the student life here just keeps excelling. With the new merger, I think more great things will come from this university.

» Read MoreIt is a very diverse University, in both cultures and programs. There are a lot of organizations, sports, clubs, sororities, fraternities for students to join. If you are having trouble in anything there is a building with people to help you fix the problem.
