There are athletic courts and a swimming pool, as well as a gym if you want to work out and get some of the stress of college life out of your system. The Student Union also has plenty of games, Billiard tables and ping-pong tables available to have some fun after class. Various events held by fraternities and sororities can involve some fun activities

Dallas has a lot to do for fun. Unfortunately, there's not much right around the university so be prepared to drive. Most of the interesting places are at least 15 minutes away. However, as long as you don't mind driving or riding the bus, Dallas has pretty much everything you could ask for - sporting events, concerts, parks, bars, etc.

The Student Union (SU) is the a pace were students go to relax, there are ping-pong tables, pool tables, board games, a TV Lounge, card games (13 most common at the moment, magic the gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.). The Activity Center there's a gym, rock climbing, Jujitsu, swimming pool, basketball court, and outdoors there is tennis, soccer, golf, track, bowling, laser tag, paintball, eating and other events held by fraternities, sororities and other clubs. Sometimes free food or free stuff is given away, art shows, and concerts are also held (jazz, classical, opera music, etc).

You are going to have to go out and search for social events. If you are looking to party, your best bet is to join a fraternity or sorority. The gym is kind of small, but it has everything you need. There are four basketball courts inside, and tennis courts and more basketball courts outside. Student organizations are also another good way to get involved and stay busy. This is probably one of the easiest ways to meet other people on campus. There are a lot of good places to eat in the area though, so that is definitely a plus.

I tend to surf the web on their numerous computer labs and work on making objects using structure programs such as Solidworks for 3D printing. As well as just walking around with my friends and playing Magic.

Well with my major and my interests, I'm really into video games. If you are too they have game nights on campus, there is a Starcraft 2 club, a League of Legends Club. Every Friday night they have board game night, there is also a movie night on campus as well over the weekends with food!

UTD is just a few minutes away from downtown, but it is a bit out of the way to get off of campus to get to the city. The school offers you free bus passes that can take you almost anywhere in the Dallas area and they are an all right way for getting off campus.
