    Campus Safety

I have never had a problem, but there are a few characters of the city that walk around once in a while.

    Greek Life

The only greek things here are honor societies usually need above a 3.5 for undergrad and above 3.8 for graduate.

    Clubs and Activities

LeadershipLIVE, Intramural Sports, many professional clubs to make connections!, join a committee, and run for your class officers

    Health Professional Students

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Jefferson has a Winter Ball every year. It's a like a prom but a lot more fun than high school.

    Bang for the buck

There are plenty of other nursing programs that are cheaper. However, it's most important to know how many students stay in the program and their NCLEX-RN pass rates. Don't choose a school less than 90% pass rate and more than 10% of its student drop out. Nursing programs across the national have higher drop out rates than other undergraduate programs.

    What to do for fun

There's a lot to do because of the location. A few things: Moriarty's, McGillins, El Vez, Ladder 15, Olde City exploring, all the Squares are nearby, MilkBoy, the theaters are close by as well.

    Food and Dining

On campus dinning is not great. The hospital cafe is good. The surrounding restaurants have tasty food and specials for students.

    Dorm Life

    Don't live in a dorm. It's overpriced.

    Academic Rigor

The teachers are pretty rough, but can have a soft side. They just want to make sure you pass your boards the first time and make sure you don't kill anyone when you start practicing. They have a very high NCLEX-RN success pass rate.

    Tips for prospective students

For nursing, you need to do well in your prerequisites, nothing lower than a B.

    In three sentences

Jefferson is a great school for medical professionals. Its a leader in technology for nursing. Its close to everything, a great location for city social life.

Moriarty's for happy hour! (4-6p 3 dollar beers)

    Bang for the buck

This school is pretty expensive, but you get alot out of it. It's connected to its own hospital, and there's so many different type of healthcare professionals you can meet.

    What to do for fun

It's right in the middle of the city, so there's a million places to walk to.

    Food and Dining

There is no cafeteria hall, so be ready to cook your own meals.

    Dorm Life

I live in the dorms. I personally love it because I don't mind sharing bathrooms/kitchesn.

    Academic Rigor

School is extremely tough, but manageable if you know how to deal with time.

    Tips for prospective students

Buckle down and be prepared to study hard!

    In three sentences

Thomas Jefferson University is a great school in developing the future professionals of healthcare. Each year it develops new doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others to help those who can not help themselves. I love being at this school because I know I am part of a group of people who will make a difference in peoples' lives.

    Campus Safety

The campus seems extremely safe due to the fact that there is constant police and security guards present because of the hospital being attached to the campus! I have never felt unsafe at the campus!

    Tips for prospective students

Please go and visit the campus because all of the faculty is so helpful in guiding you it will help you to make a sure decision. After my first visit there I realized that is where I wanted to go to school. As a student that did not have a dream school, this became my dream after my very first visit!

    In three sentences

I was accepted into the Thomas Jefferson PACE program for and BS/MS in Occupational Therapy my senior year of high school, and I was given the opportunity to attend the college of my choice for two years. After completing my two years of prerequisites at Camden County College, I am very excited to attend this beautiful university. I have visited the campus numerous times and each and every time have realized how happy I am I made the choice to go to such a wonderful university!

    Campus Safety

Even though the campus is in center city Philadelphia, it is extremely safe and I have never once been uncomfortable on campus. We have a security team and they are so kind and helpful. If anyone does ever feel even the least bit uncomfortable the security officers will literally walk with you to whatever building you need to get to. I could not imagine the school being much safer than it already is.

    Greek Life

    None.

    Clubs and Activities

We have many different clubs for people of all interests. From yoga and triathlon clubs to book club, there are clubs for just about anything you could want to do.

Great for these types of students

    Academically-inclined, Serious-about-nursing,

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Nothing super unusual here but we do have an outdoor fair with food from a ton of different food vendors each semester.

    Bang for the buck

I personally could not think of another University that would offer the quality of education I am receiving at Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing at a lower cost. The University is also very helpful in assisting those with financial need.

    What to do for fun

Since the campus is in the city there are many options for free-time activities. The campus is close to many theaters, restaurants, and bars so no matter what you like to do for fun there is bound to be something nearby to fit your style.

    Food and Dining

The options for on campus dining are limited to the hospital cafeteria and a few other small eating spots. That is not a major issue, however, because the campus is in the middle of the city and there are many options to get food from local restaurants or major food chains.

    Dorm Life

I am a commuter student like many of my classmates so I cannot personally speak for the quality of dorm life. However, many of my friends live on campus and speak very highly of the quality of the rooms and enjoy the on-campus atmosphere.

    Academic Rigor

The coursework here is quite intensive. I put in many hours of studying each week but in the end I know it is making me the best nurse I can be. The grading is fair and the teachers are willing to work with you one on one to help you understand the material covered in class.

    Tips for prospective students

Be sure to get all your materials into the admissions office as soon as you can; the earlier your materials are in, the greater chance you will be admitted. If you are accepted make sure to prepare for some rigorous course work but know that the teacher and your fellow students are all available help you.

    In three sentences

Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing is incredible. The academics here will push you but in the end make you the best nurse you can possibly be. The professors are friendly and approachable and the student camaraderie is fantastic.
