Thomas Nelson is a great place for people who are either returning to college or just starting, because it gives you a feel for how a 4-year institution will be. Thomas Nelson has many pluses and minuses but I think that the overall positive impact that it has on our community is far outweighs any negatives.

Thomas Nelson Community College has been a wonderful place to begin my education. The staff has been nothing but helpful in getting me on track in my busy life. Even when it has felt like there was no hope in getting school financially taken care of, they came through with the answers.

Tncc has helpful teachers who only want you to excel. There was not much extracurricular activities. Good place to go if you are not ready for a four year university.

I would rate this school as a somewhat competitive college. The level of education that I receive there is acceptable but I do feel some of the teachers are just there to collect a check. I also feel that they need more staff professors actually teaching at this school.

Thomas Nelson is an exceptional 2-year community college. If you are a new college student or transfer the educational opportunities are overwhelming. This school is one of the largest and most influential community colleges in Virginia.
