Most instructors take attendance. Don't miss class. Constantly communicate with your instructors if you're like me, and you miss a lot of class. They will cut you a break if you are on top of your work, email work to them when you are sick, and explain your situation to them.

Make time for yourselves to study. It is a crucial part and I promise studying even just a tiny bit helps overall.

Get to know your SGA and representatives. Be aware of your professors office hours and don't be afraid to get a hold of your teachers. Get involved in at least one club or organization.

Any prospective students looking to go to TMCC, I would suggest taking a tour of the campus. What's nice about TMCC is that they also have a high school integrated into their college program. They offer many different associates degrees.

Get there early to get a good parking space. Make sure you register for classes on time and not at the last minute. If you wait until the last minute to register, the classes that you want will be filled up, and you would have to check back to see if anyone dropped out of the class. Get familiar with buildings. You don't want to run around looking for the right building and classroom on your first day. Take advantage of the writing lab and the tutors there. Check with your school counselor often to make sure you are on the right path with your classes.
