    Look at your options, sit down with your parents and discuss what you're looking to get out of a college education. Truman has a well-deserved reputation for being academically rigorous, and the cheap in-state tuition makes it a great choice, especially if you're looking to save money for grad school.

    Study, study, study your material. If you don't read for most of your classes, you won't do well on tests and such. Make sure you are involved in extra-curricular activities to help with de-stressing and taking breaks from studying.

    Truman is not a party school, but there is plenty of fun to be had for every kind of person. It's easy to be smart and invested in school, because everyone around you is too. You'll get creative coming up with things to do, because Kirksville's not very big.
