There are a few bars around campus such as The Palms, T.J. Quill's and the Boot. You can also venture downtown to Bourbon Street and Frenchman where you will find endless things to do. The French Quarter is a great place in general to check out during the day. Try a bunch of restaurants, the food is amazing in New Orleans pretty much everywhere you go. Commander's Palace, the Cowbell, the Milk Bar, Felipe's are just a few places around campus to try out. Magazine Street is a great shopping location for both thrifting and more expensive places like American Apparel and Anthropologie. Across from campus is Audubon Park and Zoo. Also, Mardi Gras. Not much else I can say here.

Wow. It's wonderful. We have a pretty good bar scene, the Boot can be easy/cheap fun especially for the younger undergrads. Greek life is great, but the parties are for everyone. If you're not into drinking, we have brilliant restaurants, zoos, aquariums, museums, art, shops, and parks. You'll have so much to do that you'll never get to do it all before you throw your cap.

Anything! There are so many venues for music around, Audubon Park is directly across the street, City Park does kayak rentals, there are bars walking distance, and a cute shopping district neighboring the university.

For fun on Friday's Tulane has Friday at the Quad (FAQ), which is a free event that takes place on Fridays on Tulane's main quad. There's always free entertainment, food, t-shirts, and more.

I haven't really started to do too many things outside of my classes and dorm as yet. But have attended some welcome activities and am enjoying meeting other students on campus.

There is so much to do in New Orleans and on campus. Campus Programming plans concerts on campus that are relatively cheap or sometimes even free. There are a couple bars around campus that are easy to get to. The street car takes you right downtown with access to shopping, bars, food, museums and so much more. There are also Tulane shuttles for free that take you to Target, Walmart, grocery stores, and two different malls.

Explore New Orleans! If you are from out of town, chances are you have not been in a city like New Orleans. The French Quarter has the bars and it also has the large tourist sect. Uptown, closer to Tulane's campus, has tons of shops and restaurants. Then right across the street you have Audobon Park where you can jog. You can even walk to the zoo, and spend a day there. The school also offers events throughout the week, including live shows. Just this week Aubrey Plaza came and visited us. At Tulane there is never a dull moment.
