TMCC hosts a Pow Wow every New Year's, as well as ceremonies on graduation. At the begining of every semester TMCC has a smudging ceremony, where participating students, staff, and faculty smudge themselves as well as the buildings. The Center is a beautiful and symbolically powerful site nestled between Belcourt Lake to the North and a natural wooded area. The Center consists of 102.5 acres of spectacular natural beauty & ponds, with OX Creek running through the area. The Anishinabe Center has several log cabins, a straw bale research center, a cultural round house, a trading post, medicine wheel garden, sauna, showers , bathrooms, an experimental demonstration site, gardens, nature trails, cultural & medicinal plots, hundreds of fruit & berry trees, a hoop house, lakeshore frontage with docks and a boat & a canoe cabin. Campus Safety

You can definately feel safe on this campus. It isn't very big and majority of the time everyone knows each other.

    Greek Life

    There isn't one.

    Clubs and Activities

There isn't many activities. However, there is a lot of clubs for Native American culture.

Great for these types of students

    Native American.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

There are multiple Native American clubs and organizations.

    Bang for the buck

The cost of tuition at TMCC is cheaper then any in the state of ND. Especially if you are Native American, TMCC is the place for you.

    What to do for fun

There are multiple activities at TMCC. Clubs for just about anything you would like. (alot of people start there own) There isn't much but it's basically for an education and not a living space.

    Food and Dining

They have a cafeteria but not a wide variety of choices for food.

    Dorm Life

    TMCC doesn't have dorms.

    Tips for prospective students

If you aren't from the local area and aren't on a sports scholarship TMCC doesn't have dorms. You will have to find your own means of housing and transporation.

    In three sentences

Considering the fact that my school is a tribal college, I would rate it on a scale from 1- 10 (10 being the best) an 8. It's one of the best tribal colleges in ND. I would highly recommend TMCC.

    Food and Dining

The food, I believe is cheaper, compared to bigger university's selections. And instead of a food plan like a bigger college, they do a card service or regular cash, the card is 20 dollars, but you get 25 dollars to purchase food from the cafeteria.

    Dorm Life

This is a small college, so there is no dorms, however since it's a town, it's not that far away either.

    Academic Rigor

Like I said, the advisors will take their time with you as well as work out the next course of action for a student to quickly receive an A.A. or A.S. some courses are tough, depending on the circumstance, such as the teacher, personal comprehension, etc.

    Tips for prospective students

Don't be afraid to ask questions, apply for scholarships, since they don't do loans at this college, and finally to do the required courses needed for transfer.

    In three sentences

I find this college to be very helpful. The advisors will make time for you to help you decide where you wish to go as well as focus on all the requirements that a student needs to complete for an A.A. and A.S. More so, this college is a great college to start with.
