For the high cost of tuition to attend this private institution, one would think the accommodations for the students would be better. The good news is there is a new president for the university and he is making changes. Hopefully they will prove to be in the best interest of the students in the future.

I went to Tuskegee because it was close to home (less than 45 minutes away); because my uncle is an alum and because my Mom wanted me to get a great education in an area that would afford me the opportunity to be self-paced. I have Aspberger's Syndrome and she has carefully navigated my path since I was 6 years old. This has been the best thing that I have ever done for myself and I hope to get my master's Degree when I graduate in May of 2013.

Tuskegee is ranked #1 in the HBCU chart for academics. For those willing or planning to come here for college, I assure you, you will get your money's worth. I'm proud to say that I'm a Tuskegee woman because Tuskegee is like no other College/University. Some people may complain about it because its in a small, country town. But those people need to realize how much history is bestowed from Tuskegee, how much of a positive impact Tuskegee has had on so many historical figures such as George Washington Carver. Band for the Buck? I say take the risk and come to Tuskegee. There's No Experience like the Tuskegee experience.
