Categories Comments Great for these types of students If your not shy and want to learn a lot of new things in the medical field this is a great program to take the first step into this field. There are other programs just as great but this is an eight month program with guaranteed great outcome.
Tips for prospective students People who don't mind seeing a little bit of blood and aren't afraid of needles this is a perfect environment for you. If you enjoy being around people and want to go to school to help people you so think bout this school.
Bang for the buck Every school has their bang for the buck and most schools are when it comes to money. Mostly every student has to pay back for their education here but I would say that every penny is worth it with this school. Money isn't the only bang for the buck but in this school you have to give many shots and blood draws but the catch is you also have to receive them.
Am enjoying being here I drive from El Centro to San Diego every Friday and come home every Sunday, and to tell you the truth I enjoy the school so much that the two and half hour drive doesn't bother me at all. The school even helps with the gas, you can ask for anything more then that.
Am learning a lot I first thought I knew a lot about the medical field until I went to my first class at the UEI College. After starting school here I can actually say that I will understand my doctors now. The teacher is very helpful and explains things very well so she makes sure you understand what you are doing. Even if the teacher is busy the students are also very helpful.

Tips for prospective students If you want to go to UEI College for pharmacy tech, i say go for it. Just make sure the teacher actually teaches you the material and you feel comfortable there. Study hard and never give up.
In three sentences I think it is a really great school. It is focused on specific programs and it is easy to understand the curriculum. Some of the pharmacy technician teachers are really great teachers that actually focus on the materials.

Clubs and Activities none but willing to join

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus When ever we go on our breaks in between class, we usually take a walk to the store up the block or pick up something to eat and just enjoy the day.
What to do for fun I started school, enrolling the same day my neighbor did, so we enjoy our weekends with family friends.
Food and Dining alot of places to eat around.
Dorm Life No dorms on campus.
Tips for prospective students Continue any education you want to pursue. If you stop now you could of been done by the time you wanted to start again.
In three sentences Going into Dental Assisting, i didn't know what to expect. Honestly i was nervous, but everyone on campus was really friendly! I'm happy i signed up in the first place, because i feel like after UEI I'll continue with my education in dental.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Take a walk around the campus meet new people. Make social groups, its very useful in the long run. Help others as you were helped when you were in a similar position.
Tips for prospective students Come in with a good attitude and open mind to anything. Keep in mind the outcome of the program not the time being there. Self motivation is the key to acheive your goal and being open to feedback either good or bad.
In three sentences Once coming inside the facility, everyone is smilling and very friendly. The staff and other students motivate you to keep learning about the school. The representatives talk to you with confidence and instead of confusing you with a lot of information, they make it simple and understanding.

In three sentences My first visit was very positive, the person I spoke with made me feel great about the changes I was about to make. My next visit with financial aid made me a little nervous. The last visit that made me decide to go though with returning to school, how everyone there, makes you feel great about yourself.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The students do not have to worry about their safety while on campus because there are security guards monitoring the campus, during operating hours. They are always walking around and making sure that nothing suspicious or dangerous is going on.
Clubs and Activities UEI has a couple of clubs that students are able to participate in. The first club is Achievement Club that is held every Wednesday at various times for everybody. This club helps advise students on how to be successful in different areas of life. The second club is the Ambassador Club. The Ambassador Club is for students who want to help fellow classmates and new students become or stay successful.
Bang for the buck The great thing about UEI is that it is only eight months of schooling. The first seven months you are learning the skills necessary for your particular career and then the last month is your externship. UEI has job placement, so they will help you find a location. There are plenty of helpful people located in career services. UEI is the best place to go to if you are eager to learn and want to get out there to make a better future for yourself.
What to do for fun UEI really does care about their students so they try to find ways to help get their students the resources they need. For example, different programs have bake sales to help raise money for bus passes or gas cards. They also help make gift baskets or care packages for students who are in need.
Food and Dining UEI does not have a cafeteria or dining hall. There are a bunch of restaurants near the campus so you will be able to get some food while on your break. Also if you're not so hungry there are vending machines located in the stairwell and student lounge.
Dorm Life Luckily, UEI College is a vocational trade school, so you do not have to worry about the cost of dorming.
Academic Rigor It is great because your books are included in your tution, so you don't have to worry about buying your books separately. They make it possible for you to have your course materials so you can study the material pertaining to your program. The textbook and workbook help you prepare for the weekly exams.
Tips for prospective students If you want to jump start your career and want a good future, then check out UEI College. You'll never know until you check it out for yourself. There are plenty of staff members that are there to help.
In three sentences UEI College offers some great programs to help kick off your career. They are able to work with your schedule so you can further your education. Their class sizes are small, so there's more one-on-one time with your instructor.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This campus is a friendly environment. It's a very safe place there's security in campus.
Clubs and Activities There's an opportunity for every student here to be part of achievement club which is for someone that would like to be a mentor. A mentor is someone that is experienced and a supporter for someone who is just attending to the school. To become a mentor you need to attend the classes in achievement club and get recommended from your instructor.
What to do for fun I attend school which I love it's like if i'm in a real medical office. Spend most of my time with my family and take my dog out for long walks with my boyfriend. Attend the gym in my spare time.
Food and Dining There vending machinces, as wel as near by places to purchase lunch; could bring your own if you wish.
Dorm Life There is no doorms in this campus.
Academic Rigor To be professional at all times.
Tips for prospective students While attending UEI attendance and professionalism is everything. Always come to class in time, try not to be absent because you will miss a lot in one day that your gone, and take school likes it's your job. Always come in the required dress code, depending on the course you take.
In three sentences UEI is a great college for someone who knows what they want or even for those who are still wondering. It's a wonderful experience; you get a lot of hands on training. Instructors' are very welcoming; help you to succeed for when your out in the real world. This college is great for someone who wants to make a change in their lives and follow there dreams and reach their goals.

Dorm Life There are no dorms at this campus.
Academic Rigor It is not so much rigor at UEI. You set your goals and you decide how far your want to get. But you do have to study hard for the tests every week. They also put a lot of reinforcement on the dress code and neatness.
Tips for prospective students Be there on time all the time. Keep on track with the chapters before you get to classes. and read everyday when you get home at least 30 minutes.
In three sentences It is a good place to get your education and prepare yourself for the future. It is a fun and not so complicated if you dedicate enough time. I would recommend it.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety to me is definitely a plus. They have security watching your vehicles and also the doors.
Clubs and Activities They get involved with the community which I think is wonderful. They give to kids who don't have any school supplies.
What to do for fun I wouldn't say there's anything you could do for fun, especially the fact you're going to learn and take things seriously.
Dorm Life There aren't any dorms there, so therefore I would stay at home.
In three sentences I plan on attending UEI College because the environment is really well. I chose this vocational school out of 2 other ones because of that reason. The staff are also very polite.

Academic Rigor I always have my nose in my book and I study everything we've been given for the week for most of the day when I get home. Becoming a pharmacy technician isn't a walk in the park because there are so many new things to learn and understand but if you're constantly studying it isn't that hard to pull through the class with an A.
Tips for prospective students Work hard, study and really digest the information to get the most out of each class. It's your time and money you shouldn't waste it if you plan on not giving it your all.
In three sentences My professor Mr. Jay is very knowledgeable about being a pharmacy technician; he graduated in the top of his class. He takes us learning and really having all this information in the back or our heads seriously, because we could hurt someone if we're not careful and precise when we work.
