Around Town

There are several opportunities to have fun on campus. There are tons of organizations, clubs, and sports that anyone can join.

UAB has many student organizations that throw all types of student events throughout the year. Every week there is something to do and it provides safe and on campus fun. Also, Greek life host many events and they are equally just as fun.

There was a new baseball stadium built in downtown Birmingham, 4 blocks from campus.

Plenty of student events, concerts of well known entertainers that are sometimes free to students, all types of clubs close to campus

There are many clubs that are active around campus, Greek life, and Intramural sports where everyone can feel like they are apart of something and where they can make a difference. There is also many bars, clubs, parks and shopping centers where students can go with their friends to unwind from a strenuous course load.

Attend lectures, join organziations, go to events sponsored by Student Life, or enjoy local music around the Southside of Birmingham. The new Barons stadium is within walking distance, where B'ham is developing a new Entertainment District.

The recreation center is a fun place to exercise, and there are many random enjoyable campus events that captivates many student's attention.

Pick up a black and white for local community events, or enjoy the parks around downtown birmingham. There is also a lot of history in Birmingham that is fun to learn about.

The recreation center is open to all students at UAB free of charge. There is swimming, rock climbing, basketball, indoor track, work-out equipment, camping, hiking, you name it! The rec center has plenty of fun activities to do. Athletic events are also very fun to attend.
