Shiver! No, seriously, there are tons of things to do, from sports to clubs. However if you are an engineering student, you won't have time for any of them. Get used to enjoying fun vicariously, and remember that the payoff is that you'll have a job after graduation so you can repay your loans!

Just about anything. We have dancing, video games, robot building competitions, rock band, hiking, biking, sledding, sports. If you have an interest, there is probably a club out there for you, or people willing to join a club that you start. Be adventurous.

Movies are hard to get to without a car but the campus shows some movies sometimes. There is a dance just about every weekend somewhere in Fairbanks, and at least every 6 weeks on campus.

The University of Alaska has a great rental program. You can rent outdoor equipment to got hiking, climbing, boating, or any other outdoor activity you can think of, they have trails on the campus to explore. Many students bike in the summer.

The SAO office is always hosting and throwing events, so there is always some scene to go check out. If you like the outdoors, we have an ice-climbing wall (or rock wall in the summer) outside AND one in the Student Rec Center, plus a fully loaded terrain park for ski-ers and snowboarders.
