The University is great, but Calgary weather can get a bit cold in the winter.
» Read MoreIt was a little intimidating moving to Calgary at first. Being an Edmontonian, Calgary has an image of being more redneck, but really, Calgary is very cosmopolitan city. It offers a fast-paced lifestyle in the core but is compensated by the opportunity to slow-down and connect back to earth in the mountains (1 hour by car). I was able to spend weekends hiking, canoeing, climbing, snowboarding and skiing with school and with friends on our own. \ As well the city boasts many great festivals throughout the year including Folk Fest, festival of lights, global fest, Lilac Fest, and more.
