If your looking for a great learning experience, there is something important that you have to know, it all depends on YOU. So if you are, the advice I would give you and stuff you've probably already heard is to get to know your professor, research beyond on stuff that you're unfamiliar with. These two suggestions make such a great difference in any school you might choose to go, and here at UC Davis, the professors are amazing. (TIP: go to ratemyprofessors.com to look at the prof's review, this really saves you from a dull class!)

UC Davis was a wonderful school to attend! I enjoyed my 4 years there. I met wonderful friends and professors! Don't judge this school because of the reputation of it being a cow town, it is much more than that and a fantastic journey! :)

The campus is beautiful and environmentally friendly playing off the natural beauty of the landscape as well as the eco-friendly buildings. The nearby town of Davis is a true college town dedicated to the students. The bike paths make it easy for students to get from class to class.

UC Davis has LOTS of interesting majors, so do your research. It is only boring if you don't try to find cool things happening. It's a great study/fun environment.

The campus atmosphere is welcoming, understanding, and very accepting of various attitudes, and beliefs. Davis itself is a quaint town that is small but very cozy with lots of trees and beautiful sunsets. The classes are no different then any other UC courses, some are going to be difficult because of professors while others will be difficult simply because of the subject matter, but neither will make any course impossible if enough effort is put in.
