The professors at UC Irvine really care about you. Although the lectures are quite large, professors always take plenty of their time for office hours and you can even schedule appointments with them if those hours don't fit your schedule. The class readings are relevant and although they are often long, you learn so much from each one!

UC Irvine is the sometimes referred to as the hidden gem of the UC system, and having attended for a year now I am convinced it is true. UCI is located in an area surrounded by a plethora of activities to partake in such as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and many beautiful beaches. The campus itself is beautiful and geared around environmental sustainability with professors passionate about teaching and students actively engaged in their studies and the hundreds of extra-curricular activities available every quarter.

UC Irvine might not be at the top of many college lists, but it is undoubtedly one of the most underrated colleges in the world. It is the #1 college under 50 years old in the US, and 4th in the world. Therefore, it is an institution that in such a short time has made incredibly strides, so much so that current President Barack Obama was this year's commencement speaker.

I really enjoy UCI! It's peaceful, clean, and very prestigious campus. It's very easy to study on or off campus because everyone is like minded when it comes to working hard. It's not a party campus so you'll end up getting a lot done!

UCI is a lively campus if one chooses to involve themselves in the many activities. From experience, their CS program and environment is very positive and ambitious. As an engineering major, I wouldn't recommend UCI too highly.

Choosing to attend UCI was the best decision I could've made during that hectic period of college acceptances (and depressing rejections) and I am so glad that I am an anteater. UCI is a large university, student wise and campus size, but regardless, when I walk around campus I don't feel like an insignificant student amongst some other 22,000+ undergrads; instead, I feel like I have a place as I am constantly seeing friendly faces. Besides the friendly people, I thoroughly enjoy all of the classes that I have taken at UCI because I am constantly being pushed to expand my intellectual and academic repertoire.

UC Irvine is a melting pot of different cultures, ideas, and innovation through research, science, performing arts, music, and athletics. UCI ranks #1 in the universities under 50 years list, is located in one of the safest cities in California, and is academically rigorous to prepare you for the graduate school, medical school, or facing the job market head-on. As with any UC, there is competition, depending on the major you choose to pursue, but at UCI, the support of the faculty, TAs, and classmates creates a supportive learning environment.

The professors are kind and caring, while provoking thought and discussion. Since the campus is centered around a ring, getting to class won't be a problem. And at the end of the day, just zot on.
