Besides having a club to appeal to literally everyone, Westwood and the surrounding areas are all great places to go and hang out. Santa Monica is super close and only costs $1 for a bus there and back; tons of buses go to downtown from nearby as well. Greek life is pretty big on campus so there is always a party on Thursday or Friday to go hang out at. Most dorm buildings have a game room on the bottom floor you can use, and the IM field is almost always open to go and mess around on. Sunset Rec is another great place to go; there are pools, volleyball courts and large fields to hang out on.

You are in LA! Hollywood to the east, Santa Monica to the west, Beverley Hills in the north, and about a billion other fun things to do are going to be a real distraction from studying. If you know how to manage your time right, you'll feel more like you're spending a year discovering all LA has to offer than a year getting through the tough courses.

There are plenty of on-campus activities from intramural sports, to chilling at the sunset rec center (which has two pools, a huge grass lawn, tennis courts, and sand volleyball). And, the bus to Santa Monica pier is only 50 cents and less than half an hour. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in Westwood along with a movie theater. Never bored here!

There are many things you can do for fun. Go to Westwood for off campus dining, there are museums inside the school, Koreatown, Little Tokyo, or Chinatown is not very far, fraternity parties, and there are always some school event going on, so you don't even need to get out!

There is a group for everything. You can any sport you can think of, learn to dance, or take martial arts classes. Los Angeles is a huge city to explore with an extensive public transport system. The Santa Monica beach is a short bus ride away.

Club of IM sports are awesome to get involved in, meet new friends, and have a release activity to count on. It not only gets you exercise but you meet cool people and have a scheduled fun activity away from academics.
