I definitely learned to be more modest in my first year, and I'm grateful...

UCLA deserves its prestige as one of the best colleges in the nation. It is one of the top research universities in the nation, so your professors are the ones doing the cutting edge research. I personally find it an awesome university. There are various fields of study and majors, good dormitory meals and buildings, many students from around the world, and famous sport teams. The college staffs are very supportive and open-minded.

There are great things to eat, people to meet, and things to do. The experience is marked by an intense academic rigor - no matter your major, you will find it difficult. It will be incredibly fun at times, and dreadfully stressful in others.

UCLA is good school all around; the reputation is good, social life is great, and there's lots to do since it's in Los Angeles. Academics can be tough especially since you compete against a lot of students and sometimes professors don't care about how well you are doing. It's can also be really hard and stressful if you DON'T come in with college credit.
