Obviously, just like any other school, if you put your mind to it, study, and do the work, you'll learn. Putting in effort to what you want to accomplish is the key. I am currently a freshman and am about to finish my 1st semester here. I'm taking 4 class (16 units) and it's fairly difficult, but manageable. All of my professors are great. I have no complaint about any of them whatsoever. Also, they are very reasonable, and depending on the professor/t.a., will give you some slack if you have any trouble with...

    It is a beautiful campus that is in the process of construction. Has great professors and student to teacher ratio. It's a fairly new campus that's in the process of emerging as a great University, come join and be part of its history.

    UC Merced is a fairly new university and it is the newest in the University of California system. It is a really nice campus with extremely friendly staff and personnel. It is definitely a place that will make you feel like if you're right at home.

    Professors are calm and easy going a lot of young faces in the faulty of the new UC campus, which has ongoing plans for expansion and has a high acceptance rate. Iâ??m an LA city girl so the change to small town Merced cow grassing university was dramatic.

    This university is a great campus for its small size. One benefit is its small teacher to student ratio that allows students to directly talk to professors during office hours. The city might be a bit boring but it is very calm.

    UC Merced is a new school, but it already has a very diverse student body. Class sizes are small, allowing students to have a greater interactive experience with the professors. The eco-friendliness of the school can be expressed everywhere, from the dining commons to the classrooms.

    Though at first I was unsure about attending UC Merced, this university has become more than just the university I attend, it is my home. This 21st century school has so much to offer: qualified professors, small classes, and a great atmosphere. It has provided me with some of my best life experiences, I have learned so much from my classes: I cant wait to see what the next 3 years have to offer.

    UC Merced is an amazing college. Campus life is great, great professors, get help when ever you need. and the school is small so you get to know each other very well. So far at my time here, I love it! We are currently on winter break and we miss each other so much, can't wait to go back.
