UCR was my best choice for sure. Low cost (compared to other 4-year universities and other UC's) and academically challenging. There are always different activities on campus and our ASPB always works really hard to make the activities, such as concerts and guest lecturers, fun.

Boba Tea House(on Blaine) has the cheapest boba drinks in Riverside, but Lollicup (UV) has the best tasting Boba drinks. The pizza place on campus is the cheapest on-the-go food you can get. During finals week, Boba Tea House has $1 specials for UCR students.

UCR will give you your moneys worth if you choose to do more than study and isolate yourself. There are constantly cultural events going on in Riverside, so get involved and your experience will be worth the money you paid.

The school is cheaper than most while still being a University of California. You'll be able to compete for jobs and professional schools just fine with a UCR degree and you'll enjoy the college experience here. If money's an issue, UCR may very well be your solution.

There is a Costco across the way (if you are a member) and across the street is the University Plaza which give students more discounts than on campus for food, haircare, and entertainment.
