Many people take surfing lessons seeing that the beach is pretty much right across the street from campus. Many go to the beach just to relax and watch the sunset. A lot of beach-related activities.

Participate in any of UCSD's numerous recreational groups. Join the skilled and numerous UCSD Pep Band run by students for students. Attend any of UCSD's sporting events and show your pride or any sponsored events on UCSD such as the renown Sun God Festival or the enjoyable shows at Porter's Pub. Or for a more local flavor visit any of San Diego's active scene or take a short walk to the nearby beaches of La Jolla.

There's so much to do at UCSD. Colleges always throw events and there are always bands and musicians coming to perform. The beach is not a far walk and there's shopping areas close by.

There are a lot of clubs and organizations that you can get involved in. There's not much to do off campus.

As far as the virtual tour it appears to have a large amount of activities and organizations to participate in when you aren't in classes.

Luckily San Diego is a decently sized city with moderate traffic that you can travel anywhere for fun. Attractions include: the World Famous San Diego Zoo, the Safari Park, and Sea World. You can catch a ballgame at Petco Park in downtown; and while you're there, be sure to visit Balboa Park and some of its museums. If you're 21 and over, San Diego has a great nightlife with plenty of different areas that can cater to your needs. Downtown San Diego is not the only place for bars or nightclubs; you can find other places in Pacific Beach, North Park, and much more.
