Teachers can be great, but you must go to class to actually learn. I never thought I'd be skipping classes, but it happens and I learned the hard way that this is NOT smart. Discussions with TAs can be incredibly helpful as well. I had a math class where I learned more from the TA than I did from the Professor, so it definitely helps to go to both to become a successful student at UCSD.

I think that this university gives great opportunities for getting involved in research. I think the curriculum is challenging but it could more challenging. I also think the class sizes are large but that is expected at a public school.

UCSD is an amazingly beautiful school that is less than 15 minutes from the beach. There is a club for nearly anything that interests you and there are all kinds of sports to partake in. The quarter system is a bit fast-paced, but very manageable - the professors and teaching assistants are amazing and will try their best to help in any way they can.

UCSD is the school for everything from a top ranked arts program to widespread research facilities. It is an optimal choice for all majors through its 6-part college separation to provide a similar environment for similar majored students. This school is great for its hard working, yet beach friendly atmosphere and active campus life.

Beautiful location with a 2min walk to the beach. Prestigious research opportunities for undergrads in all departments. Unique 6 college system that makes the college transition easier and more welcoming to new college students.

Now ranked in the top 15 universities in the world, UCSD is an amazing school to attend! The Jacob's school of engineering is also the 8th best engineering school in the world! Not to mention, everyone is so friendly, the campus is so beautiful especially the library, and there is always something to get involved in on campus.
