» Read MoreSanta Barbara is definitely not lacking in fun. Even if partying isn't your scene, there is still a ton to do. I enjoyed kayaking, learning to surf, going on hikes to beautiful waterfalls, participating in great on campus events, and the list goes on. There is an abundance to do, all within 15 minutes of the campus. As for the partying, the reputation lives on.

» Read MoreThere really is never-ending amounts of activities on and near campus. The university provides plenty of sports and trips for students. Being located right on the beach allows for both relaxation or beach-sports at any time you want (before, between, or after class.) There is plenty of open space for bike rides or walks, a couple recreation centers and sports fields, and groups designed for water sports, yoga, pilates, etc. Even if those don't interest you, there are plenty of parks, coffee shops, and other food places to hang out at.
