The perfect study break lies just a few steps away at the beach and he partying scene is all you have heard about plus much more. You can't walk to class or in the college town without seeing a familiar face. The quarter system here makes school just fly by, and the overall atmosphere is just a friendly one.

UCSB has offered me opportunities to expand my horizons in ways infinitely past my imagination. The beach-life ideology that people pick up here make this school a safe and welcoming environment to people from all backgrounds. I don't feel this at-home at my hometown.

At UCSB you'll find a blend of relaxed culture, wild party scenes, and a body of students who study to outdo others. This university is the definition of a work-hard-play-hard environment as it embodies students who probably study harder than anyone you know, and can definitely get more wild during the nights than you can ever dream of. The culture of UCSB is simply to stay relaxed, have more than enough fun, and excel in academics.

When I first applied to UCSB, I didn't think too much of it, meaning it wasn't my number 1 school. In the end, I decided on a whim to attend this school without visiting the campus ever. But I fell in love at first sight with the beauty of the school, the kindness of my fellow peers, and the many different organizations that are established on campus.

UCSB is right next to the beach which is a ten minute walk away from almost every building. Although the school is very selective in the admissions process, I would recommend you study very hard in high school to get admitted to UCSB because this school is like a dream come true. All the buildings and meals on campus are very sustainable and UCSB offers many clubs to stay active on campus.

The lifestyle is intense and something to adapt to, as UCSB has a reputation as a party school. However, don't let that fool you because UCSB is a serious research institution. There's the beach, the nightlight, and the academics, and it's up to you to balance the three.
