Downtown has a theater, a lot of local shops, and eateries, Pennys Ice Cream is great! The Boardwalk is fun if you want to get on rides or walk on the beach or surf. On Campus there are events run by student life, plays, dances and sport events.

For fun you can go to the gym where there is a swimming pool, big field of grass and a tennis court. As a student you can simply swipe your ID and use the facilities. Also going downtown through the bus is fun because you can see downtown santa cruz and eat lots of different foods.

There are endless possibilities for fun activities. You can go shopping in town, go to the beach, or go to the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Capitola is also a short bus ride away and you can go shopping at the Capitola Mall. You can also learn to surf, kayak, paddle board, and many other water activities. If you choose to stay on campus, there are almost always events you can attend. Or you can go hiking along the many trails on campus, jog around the track, go to the gym, or just hang out in the sun with your friends.
