I absolutely love it here, but then, I knew I wanted to be here the first time I stepped foot on campus. For me it was about going to the school that felt right to me, and I definitely knew it when I came here.

    The campus looks beautiful because of the nature but seems like it can be very dark and cold at night because of the trees. I've only met one professor and he seemed very open-minded and not uptight. The people that I've met so far seem very open minded as well because they allowed us to see inside their dorm.

    Coming from a small town attending UCSC was a good transition. Being surrounded by nature gives the school a very serene atmosphere. The town is not very big but it is very close knit, and if you feel spontaneous and miss the big city San Jose is just a bus ride away.

    When I took a tour of the school I loved the beauty of the forest and the beach. People here are very open and diverse. The professors I have had overall are very friendly and brilliant.

    The campus is absolutely beautiful. The people and teachers are really awesome. Very chill place. Science department is pretty hard though. Basic science classes are used to weed people out of STEM majors so beware. If you love nature and fresh air, UCSC is the place for you :)
