There are over 500 clubs on campus so you're bound to find something. Many students also join Greek life or participate in intramural sports. During the Fall, hundreds of students spend their Saturdays tailgating and attending the football games and during the winter, Gampel is filled for basketball games!

There is not much to do for fun during the weekdays. The best you can do is probably go to the gym or hang out with friends. UConn is like a small town, so you will not find anything near by that students can go to regularly. On the weekends, there are the usual parties. We mostly throw parties in our frat houses due to neighbors and police. Girls get in for free, but guys do not if you aren't in the frat that is hosting; unless somebody puts you on the list. (which is stupid I know) For the guys, if you want to party, join a frat, because I have seen many guys do nothing on the weekends because they can not get in to parties. If you are hoping to experience crazy parties at UConn, let me be the first to burst your bubble, it doesn't happen like that here. I am in Pike and we also struggle to throw parties due to cops and neighbors. There are a lot of families that live in the houses near UConn , so they call the cops regularly. If you join a frat, join it for the parties, and always try to remember that SCHOOL comes first. Too many people get lost in all the hype, let there grades fall, and forget why they came here in the first place. I would not recommend this school if all you want to do is party.

The are nurmous clubs on campus. There are game rooms, movie theater, late night in the union as well as a free gym and workout classes. The greek life is very active as well. The university has concerts, special guests and trips all the time as well.

There is TONS to do on campus. Besides the parties which are pretty fun by themselves, there are great clubs that anybody can find interesting. The selection of clubs is amazing. There is the student centers where karaoke and little events happen. There's iceskating (only 3 dollars) at the rinks on campus, there are shows that happen with well known artists, we have our own movie theatre, and a lot of great people. Most dorm buildings have pool tables too.

There is a gym, but the ventilation is awful. The library is pretty nice though, and the IT center is usually pretty quiet. Other than that, there's not really much to do unless you form your own club on campus.
