The classes are very in depth. With the size of the classes, there isn't much one one one time with the professor, if any, so how much you learn depends completely on you. You can choose to stay on top of things on your own or you can utilize the vast amount of resources that UConn supplies for students to help with their studies. If you need extra help, then it isn't hard to contact the professor or a TA. If you choose not to pay attention and learn, then you won't and your grades will...

UConn is rising to be one of the top public schools in the country. It excels in infrastructure, academics and student activities. I'd definitely recommend it to any student looking to go to a big university with a competitive student body.

UConn is a big school in a nice rural town that is essentially a town of its own. Even though it is a large school, it really feels like a small community where anyone can find themselves taking part in something they love. The school is great for so many different aspects of education.

The school has some nice buildings on the south east side of campus and the new ones towards the middle, but the math and sciences buildings could improve significantly. It is a big school that is very cliquey and many students are superficial, you just have to find the ones who aren't. The academics are tough, but manageable and the professors and TAs are usually available for meetings when needed.

Very clique oriented. Major focus on the student as a number and not an individual. Challenging with a rich party culture.
