One of the best things is attending the hockey games at school, especially Colorado College games. Denver is a cool city, and it's always fun to take a day trip to the mountains or go downtown to 16th street. There's not much to do around campus, and at night everybody just goes to the bars.

As most may know, DU is very close to the city and there is always something to do. People usually go to clubs with their friends, the movies, you name it. There are also plenty of activities hosted on campus, so boredom is rarely an issue.

Mountains, downtown, and hundreds of student organizations are out there, you just have to take the opportunity. In the off chance that there isn't a club for you, it's so simple to start one up. From A Capella to Alpine Club, fun is not far away.

Other than homework and schooling, I enjoy snowboarding in the winter and water sports in the summer as well as camping, hiking and when there is down time I love to get crafty making numerous baby shower and birthday gifts for friends and family.

The University of Denver is surrounded by restaurants and such which makes it easy to go out and try new foods and what not whenever you'd like. The University of Denver is also right next to the light rail which can take you downtown in as little as 15-20 minutes.

There are all sorts of clubs, from dance clubs to music clubs to student leadership clubs. The DU Programming Board also puts on weekly events you can go to. Additionally, since DU students have free access to all the buses and light rail in Denver, it is easy to find something to do off campus as well, be it shopping, clubbing, or bowling.

Hockey games are huge at DU! Students get tickets for $5 and the games are highly attended. We also go downtown a lot because we get free RTD access through our tuition

Nightlife in Denver is plentiful downtown, but that's mainly if you're 21 years old and can get into bars. There are plenty of frat parties every Thursday and Saturday nights, but Friday nights are usually the relaxed ones. However, on Fridays there are usually hockey games, and DU's hockey team is phenomenal! Compared to other schools, DU is not much of a party school, but there are definitely things to do for fun.
