You live in Hawaii, what can't you do? Surfing, snorkeling, tanning, hiking, and anything else you'd do on vacation.

The beach is close to campus. Only a 30 minute walk or you can jump on a bus or bike. Surfing, paddle boarding, and a whole lot of activities are available with places to rent stuff from. There are a lot of restaurant's close by in Waikiki as well. If you have time, go up to North Shore and check out the town. Or there are numerous places to hike and see some pretty sweet views.

People here surf and do sports for fun. During the day there is lots to do like go to the beach or adventure the island because everything is so close. But there is no nightlife here at all or even campus events to go to every once in a while. I was very involved in extracurricular activities in the past and it was hard going from always doing school-related events to absolutely nothing. The one exciting event they did have was Polyfest where a group of students show off their Polynesian cultures by doing dances, chants and more. I wish they had more simple events like this so I wasn't just sitting in my room all of the time.
