I like being at UIC mostly because of the people I am meeting. Everyone is very different, even though most of them are coming from the Chicagoland area. Additionally, it is fun to be located in the city, as well as having many opportunities because of it. Lastly, I am enjoying the classes I am taking, and appreciate the wide range of courses available.

I love going to school in the city. I have an apartment right down the street, and there is plenty of things to do around the city.

I definitely am enjoying being here. This is a place fit for any type of prospective high school student. Even though it's a larger university, there is a place here for everyone. Myself, I came from a small, midwestern town that most people have not heard of. I was one of three students graduating from my class that went to U of I, so I didn't have very many people I could lean on once I moved on campus. U of I has done a great job organizing hundred of clubs and organizations so that every student can find their niche and feel a sense of belonging. Personally, I can be very shy and introverted initially so in the past it was sometimes difficult for me to meet new people. U of I's web of different groups and club made me feel at home almost right away because I was able to meet other students who had the same interests I did. I'm a senior year now approaching graduation and I can't believe how fast these four years have gone by!

I have never expected that college would be so much fun.Of course in the beginning it is very hard to manage your time but once you get used to the college life,it is much easier.Besides the interesting classes there are always events you can attend during the day.Night life is also pretty vibrant since the school is in Chicago, where there are many clubs and dances.People are friendly for the most part, the college is very diverse. There are also lots of opportunities like internships, fellowship, study abroad, volunteering and different scholarships.I really enjoy studying at UIC.
