There is so much to do in Iowa City. There has never been a single night where there wasn't something cool going on downtown or at the IMU. If all else fails, head to the mall!

There are so many activities and groups that are taking place on campus. It shouldn't be hard to find something you love. If you want to have fun off campus, downtown is only a few blocks away with so much to do!

Student organizations put on all kinds of activities for people to participate in throughout the week that are FREE! However, unless a student has a car here there is not that much to do off campus, unless people like to consume alcohol. There is no bowling alley or movie theater near by, but a group on campus does have movie showing every week for as little as $2.

Iowa City is a very lively place. There are many unique restaurants, there are multiple concert venues, there is a great shopping mall nearby and there are plenty of free events hosted by the University. My friends and I are never bored on the weekends.

There are some great UI sponsored concerts and events. For the typical student, bars and parties tend to be the way to go.

I go to the rec center to exercise with friends, go to football games, and walk around downtown with froyo. There are a lot of campus activities here so you'll never get bored. One time, they had a laser tag room set up for two nights, and it was so much fun! They also put up movie screenings for only three dollars! It's cheap, and they play movies that are not even out on DVD yet! It's a great way to relax when you are free on the weekends. We also have free bus rides after six on Thursdays and Fridays to go to the closest mall, about a 30 minutes by bus. It's a great way to spend your Friday nights. And it is only $1.25 for a round-trip any other days!
