So the cafeteria/dining hall food sucks right now. However they are rebuilding the Student Union which will be finished next semester, so fall 2014. The new Union is huge and looks gorgeous from the work I am seeing be done. Therefore I expect the food to get better once the staff is out of the make shift kitchen that they are using now. The dining hall is the only place your meal plan works on campus but you do have a decking balance (DB) which works at multiple food venues on campus. You can use your DB in the food court which has Pizza Hut ChikFilA and Sushi, the Coffee shop in the Library, Campus Grounds, and Zeus. Also there is another area to use your DB at which is located near the Legacy Apartments.

  • Dec-30-2013 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

The campus is very centrally located so there are multiple food options. A lot of fast food and sit down and a lot of nice local places, such as Twins Burgers.

When you live on campus, you have to eat at the residents dining hall and it's not the best. But there are food places on campus like Chick-Fil-A and Subway which I eat at often.

ULL currently has a contract with Sodexo and many students would agree that the food is not always the best. However, there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores on and around campus just in case the cafeteria doesn't cut it. The campus is within walking distance of Downtown Lafayette as well as the culturally rich Oil Center so students have plenty of options if they opt out of the cafeteria meals every now and then.

There is a lot of different food choices here at ULL. They have great cafeteria food if you do not want to spend your money.they also have food places on campus where you can use the money the school gives you. They have pizza delivery if you are stuck in your room studying and if you are an off campus student, their are good cultural food places around.

There are greek shows, charity work done by the greeks, and they are friendly. They actually talk to you and answer any questions you have even if it's not about greek life.

ULL has a large greek row. I have friends that have joined greek organizations and many are extremely satisfied with their decision.
