Students at the University of Mary Washington definitely learn a lot. There are about 4,000 students total in the entire school, so over 900 students in each graduating class. It is so beneficial going to a school that is smaller because classes are smaller, making it more comfortable to participate in class and ask questions. Professors also know who you are: you are not seen as just a number to them. Mary Washington is a public university that feels like a small private school. The campus is beautiful and cozy, although administration seems to allocate money to the wrong areas of improving campus. Everyone is more or less friendly and welcoming.
