    The teachers and academics courses are great. However, the living conditions at UMES is horrible. The campus is in remote area and there is not place to go without having transportation.

    The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) is a very beautiful campus, along with a positive atmosphere. Social wise UMES has a quiet campus and is one of the best HBCUs. Academic wise the courses are not that challenging.

    This is one of the better universities, education wise. Also, this school isn't as expensive as other schools in Marland, which would make it a great choice financially. Lastly, this school is a welcoming environment and very supporting.
