Around Town

If attending UMUC Asia in Okinawa, Japan, you are probably a military member or spouse frustrated by the lack of things to do on this island. There are plenty of adventures to take, use this time in Okinawa to expand your horizons and see areas that you have never seen before. Explore the jungles or taste some of the local cuizine. Although the UMUC Campus has nothing to do for fun the area in which it is located is a place of opportunity for exploration and adventure.

The main campuses are in Europe, Asia and Maryland, USA. The people are very interesting and come from many different backgrounds and the campuses are very eco-friendly and beautiful. A very zen area to study and learn.

Classes are offered online and some, on campus. Everyone comes to class from home

I go to school online and do not stay in the dorms. This is not applicable.

Limitless activities: two libraries/reading, student union programs, campus movie theatre, computer labs, outdoor activities, sporting events: indoor/outdoor, club activities, etc.

They have many clubs you can join.

There is a great writing center where faculty can help you build your writing skills. Also the library database is full of knowledge and scholarly based journals. There are also a active student councils who care about your experience with UMUC.

I don't live on or near campus.

Unfortunately I am a distance learner so I feel the need to leave this response as is.

I enjoy being out doors. Bicycling, running, and hiking are my favorite activities.
