The University of Maryland University College is a very well rounded school in my opinion, with a great staff and teachers who are engaged in the fields they instruct ( from journalism to French!). It is also recognized by the National Society for Collegiate Scholars.

The tuition for the UMUC per credit hour is $249, and each class is normally worth 3 credits so its around $747 per class. Compared to other universities this is quite low. The quality of each class is relative to the quality of the professor, however, since the teaching staff is an international staff, there is a variety of unique thoughts, ideas, and concepts presented by each professor.

I have yet to feel like my money is overly well spent. I am paying for an education and I expect to graduate with a proper education. I will have to continue to take courses through UMUC before I can say for sure what kind of Bang for my buck I am really getting.

For $251 per credit; that's barely anything at all. The class choices are not only awesome; their is on-call tutoring available and a mentoring program to help you complete and stay on top of your studies. For the price; I'd like to see another college beat that.
