People say college is the best experience of your life. And as the years continue I am positive you will go from liking college to loving it. The University provides a course guide during summer orientation that is full of hundreds of different courses. You can take just about anything you want and learn about things you never even imagined you would be interested in.     Coming from a big city (Chicago) , I can sometimes feel that Ann Arbor does not have that much to offer. But it takes a good circle of friends and a knowledge of the area to know that it is not true. It's a huge campus but not really diverse.

    University of Michigan is a huge campus and a lot of things are going on all the time in every department. I'm going to be joining the music department and this department alone houses at least 1000 students and recitals occur every day as well as rehearsals and concerts. Like in music, UMich is extremely strong in many areas and those students who want a greater challenge can even apply to be in special colleges for those who desire to get more out of their education.

    The University of Michigan is a very prestigious school located in downtown Ann Arbor. So far, I have positive interactions with faculty and staff and the city itself is beautiful. The School of Social Work is centrally located and is the top school in the country.

    University of Michigan is a fantastic university for anyone who wants that perfect combination between rigorous academics and clubs, sports and life outside of classes. School spirit is incredible, and you can't help but be sucked into the football games and basketball games. There really is something for everyone.
