UMD is a medium sized school that has some pros and cons, but I believe the pros win. After a first rough year, I now love my classes and most teachers. My favorite part is that everyday as I walk to class, and I can be calmed and relaxed by the beautiful sight of Lake Superior in the distance.

» Read MoreThe U of M Duluth is an extremely welcoming and comfortable school. Although the music program is still growing, it contains some of the most talented musicians I've ever met!
» Read MoreUniversity of Minnesota-Duluth is a smaller-average sized campus connected by tunnels which is great in the wintertime. Freshman are required to stay in the dorms their first year which are connected to the school so you never have to walk outdoors, while after the first year students can stay in the on campus apartments that involve a little outdoor walking to the school. Overall I love the campus and feel it's cozy and makes me feel right at home.
» Read MoreThis school was okay, it would be good for someone from a rural or suburban area. I rate this school a 2 our of 5. For me UMD lacked diversity, fraternity, and location.
» Read MoreI love the atmosphere here at UMD. There are a lot of different activities on campus as well as many informative speakers. We even had former president Bill Clinton speak at our school this year! Not only does the campus offer a wide variety of entertainment, the city itself is fun to explore. I have found that students are overall up to do or try anything, new clubs, sports whatever, which makes the environment interesting and fun.
» Read MoreUMD has a super friendly atmosphere, and manages problems efficiently. General education classes have 150 or so students in a class, but even as freshman I have classes with as few as 20 people. It is very important to the University that students' lives are as easy as they can be.
