Most the instructors I've had were great. Many interesting courses are offered and I've enjoyed most of my classes.

I transfered here from Concordia college in Moorhead and I find the university refreshingly diverse and accepting. I enjoy going to classes ever day because of the professors. The school itself is nice because it is all inside and warm even on the coldest winter day in Duluth.

I would say UMD is a very accepting campus. They work extremely hard every year to make sure that everyone has equal resources and facilities. I don't think I've ever feel more accepted than I have a UMD.

UMD is a medium sized school that has some pros and cons, but I believe the pros win. After a first rough year, I now love my classes and most teachers. My favorite part is that everyday as I walk to class, and I can be calmed and relaxed by the beautiful sight of Lake Superior in the distance.

A scholarly environment where people also know how to have fun. Everyone is friendly for the most part. Students and Faculty are all very open to helping and accepting others.

The U of M Duluth is an extremely welcoming and comfortable school. Although the music program is still growing, it contains some of the most talented musicians I've ever met!

University of Minnesota-Duluth is a smaller-average sized campus connected by tunnels which is great in the wintertime. Freshman are required to stay in the dorms their first year which are connected to the school so you never have to walk outdoors, while after the first year students can stay in the on campus apartments that involve a little outdoor walking to the school. Overall I love the campus and feel it's cozy and makes me feel right at home.

This school was okay, it would be good for someone from a rural or suburban area. I rate this school a 2 our of 5. For me UMD lacked diversity, fraternity, and location.

I love the atmosphere here at UMD. There are a lot of different activities on campus as well as many informative speakers. We even had former president Bill Clinton speak at our school this year! Not only does the campus offer a wide variety of entertainment, the city itself is fun to explore. I have found that students are overall up to do or try anything, new clubs, sports whatever, which makes the environment interesting and fun.

UMD has a super friendly atmosphere, and manages problems efficiently. General education classes have 150 or so students in a class, but even as freshman I have classes with as few as 20 people. It is very important to the University that students' lives are as easy as they can be.
